Farewell Arch

Hi everyone,

just to let you know that the Year 6 Farewell Arch will be at 2:30pm tomorrow (Thursday).

The school will be lined up to send the year 6’s on their way to high school.

If you are free to join us please do.

Year 6 Lunch

Good morning all,

Just to clarify a few things about the Year 6 class parties, as there might be a bit of confusion.

The committee approached the Yr 6 teachers last week after the graduation dinner, as there were some extra funds in the Graduation funding budget.  As there’s left over money, the committee thought it would be fantastic to spend this on the kids at their class party.

We would like to supply a “special pizza” lunch on Wednesday in lieu of parents proving lunches that day. So please don’t pack lunch this Wednesday!

🍕🍕A variety of pizzas, including dietary requirements (gluten free, vegetarian and dairy free options) will be available for the children. 🍕

Not long until holidays!

Big Week Out – Thursday

Hi everyone,

What a great day today at the beach!!

Tomorrow we are hitting up the RollerRink at Rolloways 🙂 Quad Rollerskates are included in the booking, however, we have let the students know that Rolloways are happy for the students to upgrade to inline skates (rollerblades) if they/you are happy for them to do so.

It is $3 cash to upgrade. They will need to bring the change with them and be responsible for it until we get there.

I will be in quad rollerskates, and they are of course welcome and encouraged to try them out with me 🙂 for a bit of a laugh otherwise can upgrade.

Also, don’t forget remind them to wear socks as they will be needed for skating and ten pin bowling.

Big Week Out – Monday

Big Week Out is upon us!

Please make sure all students are in their school uniform, have plenty of water and are at school by 8:15am in the morning.

Attached is the weeks schedule for you to keep track of us 🙂 Looking forward to a fun filled week.

A message from Heather Smith re: Photos for Grad Dinner

Hi year 6 parents,

The due date for sending me photos has been and gone so this is a last chance to forward me 2 photos of your child for a display at the graduation dinner (and I believe they will be used at ceremony too).

It would be greatly appreciated if you could email a toddler one and a recent one please.

I have responded to everyone who has emailed me, so if you have emailed me and not had a response it is likely I may not have received them. If this is the case, please do not hesitate to contact me on 0450 655 530 so I can arrange to get them some other way.

I am still missing :
13 from room 13
2 from room 10
9 from room 11

Once I start this project it is not something I can add to, so please please please get your photos to me ASAP so your child can try and spot themselves on the night.

Email your photos to hevtroy@live.com or call me on 0450 655 530 if you are having trouble.

Again, thank you to everyone who has already sent them to me.

Kind regards,
Heather Smith

Class Reminders

Hi everyone,

Just a couple of reminders for tomorrow, Friday 27th October:

  • It is a Pupil Free Day.
  • Book Club is due online
  • Parent volunteer notes for Big Week Out are due if you are keen to throw your name in the hat.

Also, if your child is absent from school can we please ask that you let the school know of their absence. This can be done in a number of ways:

  • through the school App
  • email to the school office
  • phone call to the school office
  • email to the classroom teacher
  • a hand written note, on the day of return, to the classroom teacher either on paper or in the school diary.

Thanks and enjoy the kids long weekend.

Science Term 3

This weeks science lesson – It’s Electrifying

Lesson 1 is all about finding out what we think we know about how electrical circuits provide a means of transferring and transforming electrical energy.

For this we need battery operated devices such as:
eg, toy, music player, doorbells, handheld computer game, walkie-talkies etc.

I have asked the students, if possible, to bring in one battery operated item from home for our lesson tomorrow. They will not be used just observed. They will then go home with them on Friday after we have finished with them.

Thanks
