Harmony Day

We had a fantastic afternoon on Friday 17th March celebrating Harmony Day. Harmony Day is a celebration of our cultural diversity – a day of cultural respect for everyone who calls Australia home. With Aubin Grove being a multicultural school, we place a large emphasis on inclusion in our school. The message of Harmony Day this year is everyone belongs, the Day aims to engage people to participate in their community, respect cultural and religious diversity and foster sense of belonging for everyone.

We joined our picnic with Room 15 and enjoyed our picnic outside in the lovely weather. It was fantastic to see all the students interested in what they were eating and where it originated from. The students we so excited to share their cultural backgrounds with the class.

Feel free to come by and check out our window display, which the students completed last week and also have a look below to see how our picnic went! A big thank you also goes to the parents for their commitment to our Harmony Day celebration – it would be difficult to do without you!
