Welcome back to Term 2! I hope everyone had a refreshing break after a big Term One.
We started the new term off with some team building activities to remind us how to work in our collaborative learning teams and then completed a STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) challenge that was definitely a challenge for the class. It required the students to use 20 pieces of spaghetti, 1m of tape and 1m of string to hold up a marshmallow in a free-standing structure. Have a look at the photos below to see how the students worked in their table teams.
Homework will begin next week (week 2) and will be due in on odd week Fridays (Friday Week 3). Please be mindful before signing the homework grid and check your child has completed the required activity as many students are not completing their whole grid, especially Mathletics tasks which are set for the fortnight.
We have a big term ahead with NAPLAN, cross-country, reporting and so much more so check in regularly to see what we are up to! If you have any questions or comments please email or pop in before or after school!
