Tuesday was a great day to dress up in a costume of what we want to be when we grow up.
Thank you to everyone who stayed around for our parade. The dress ups were amazing.
I would also like to take this opportunity to say thank you for another great term and I hope you have a happy and safe holiday. We start back at school on Monday the 9th of October.
This years’ Open Night will be held on Wednesday, September 20 from 5.30pm-7pm.
The evening will once again provide parents and family members with an opportunity to take a learning journey through the school, view classrooms and look at the amazing work our students have undertaken throughout the year.
Fathers and special guests joined us this morning for a wonderful time to celebrate our Dads.
We played Ping Pong, Lego, Ball games, we made construction creatures, popcorn and paper aeroplanes and took some really silly photos. We also gave dad a shave and made some toast with juice to wash it all down. I hope you all had a lovely time and know just how important you are to us.
The students were looking at the magical number 7 today and how many ways we could make 7 with partitioning.
It is a very difficult concept and they made me very proud.
What an amazing incursion we had today.
Nurse Jo from PMH came out to our kindy and spoke to us about what it would be like if we ever have to go to hospital. It was wonderful to see the students playing Dr’s and bandaging people up in wraps and slings. We used crutches and the wheelchair and helped give medicine and injections. We completed puzzles and games. It was fabulous and so much fun!
(I apologise for some photos being a bit upside down or sideways, not sure what happened when I loaded them)
On Monday we were very lucky to have the local police visit us. We have been talking about Community Helpers this term and it was great to be up close to the friendly police officers.
Check out our awesome math experiences with big and small.
Next week (Monday 24th July), our Kindy Home Reading program will commence. This involves your child taking home a book for you to share together and with your assistance completing reading tasks and a follow-up activity.
In each pack, there is an information sheet that outlines what to do with your child before reading, during reading and after reading.
Your child’s name tag will be attached to their new reading pack each week. Please return the pack every Monday. Be aware if the packs are not returned each Monday, another child will miss out on sharing this special reading experience.
It is vital that you look after all the resources in your pack and let your teacher know if anything goes missing.
We would like two volunteers to swap the books over every Monday. If you would be interested in taking on this role, please speak to your child’s teacher.
Please view the attached link for more information.
If the link does not work please copy and paste into a new window.
We hope you enjoy reading a fantastic range of books with your child!
Thank you for your support.
