Week 1 term 3

So lovely to see everyone back from holidays. Sounds like you had a great break.

We were straight back into the busy world of Kindy this week.

Nursery Rhyme Dress Up

Wow what a wonderful site it was today with our amazing costumes.

I was so humbled by the hard work that went in to make each and everyone look soooo cute.

I have attached the photos and want to thank you again for all the support you give our class.

Have a wonderful holiday see you on Thursday the 20th of July ( Photo Day) !

Lap a thon

What a wonderful day we had today with our Lap a thon.

Thank you so much to those who came down and supported us with our running. It was lovely to see so many family members out in the sun having a run.

Please remember now to bring in your money. Money is to be taken to the P&C box at the office.

Then after our big run we made Tiger Toast and explored all things T

Term 2

Wow what a wonderful return to the term we have had.

We have been very busy making some very special gifts for the up and coming Mother’s day afternoon.

Syllables and Rhyme have been a big focus and number recognition and counting out collections to match numbers.

We have also started our intervention groups in which the students spend 5mins at stations with very directed activities before rotating tables.

I have been very proud of how quickly the students have learnt how to complete this with minimal disruptions. (They are just so cleaver!)

Please don’t forget to bring a piece of fruit everyday.

Parent roster is up and running so please add your name if you can help out. We also love having dads in (hint, hint nudge, nudge).

Looking forward to seeing all our special Mums or special guests for Mothers day Afternoon.

And our Lap-a-thon in week 4!

Week 10 -Easter Suprise!

Easter Time!

Week 8 Fun

  • Rhyme Time

This week we have been talking about words that sound the same. Words that rhyme. Some words can be real or nonsense rhyming words. We have been reading stories with funny rhymes as well. This is a great way to learn rhyme and you might like to read some at home too. Once we have identified two words from a group of words that rhyme, we are going to generate words of our own.

  • Easter – we have started our theme of Easter and have been busy making some special grafts to bring home for the holiday.
  • Name recognition – we have been making rainbows with our names and creating our portfolio cover with bunting names.
  • Name writing – I am so impressed at how everyone’s name writing is developing, they are looking great and it is lovely to see everyone having a go on their own at independent activities. Keep up the great work.

We’re Going on a Bear Hunt

Wow what a wonder adventure we went on this week.

We went hunting for Bears!

Through the long wavy grass, through the deep cold river, through the oozy mud, through the dark forest, through the whirly snowstorm and into the dark gloomy cave.

But do you know what were not scared at all!

It was the best time EVER!

We then made really cute bear ears and bear puppets.

Drawing of me

In Week 5 we sat with Mrs Templeman and practiced drawing ourselves.
