Thank you so much for your efforts today with the kids costumes, they all looked fabulous! Despite the chilly weather today we had a nice and relaxing end to the term. Have a happy and safe holiday and thanks again for all your support over the last few weeks.
On the morning of dress up day (Friday 30th), we would like to invite parents to stay for a quick dress up parade around the Nature Playground. This will only take a few minutes, so we ask that you do a quick drop off in the morning so you can make your way to the playground for a great viewing spot. We will be generally following the bike track around so anywhere along there will be fine. If you’re not able to stay I will take some photos anyway to put on the blog.
Please remember this is a dress up of Nursery Rhymes only and not Superheroes or Disney Characters. Doesn’t need to be anything fancy!
Just another quick reminder for Mrs Johnston, Gumboot Day is on Wednesday the 28th. Further information is on the Communication Board.
Have a great weekend!
Just a reminder about our Dress Up Day in week 10 on Friday to end our Term. All the details are in the note below. There is also a copy of the note on our Communication Board in front of the classroom. Once again, please be mindful that this is not a fairytale, superhero or disney dress up. Thank you for your support!
Hi Everyone! I hope you’re having a lovely weekend so far. Here are a few photos from our ‘Crazy Hair Day’ yesterday. Thanks for all your effort, the kids looked great!
For those parents and families who couldn’t make the Lap-a-thon yesterday I have put together a little slideshow. I hope I managed to get everyone! I was so proud of them all yesterday, they showed great determination and stamina to run so many laps! Superstars!
A BIG thank you to all the Mums for coming to our special afternoon today. The children loved having you there and we hope you enjoyed it! I hope you enjoy the photos below. Have a wonderful Mother’s Day on Sunday!
A note came home today about Lap-a-thon, which will take place for Kindy B Group students on Thursday 18th May (week 4). We will be heading out to the oval at 11.10 to do some stretches and get organised. The Lapathon will begin at 11.30 and will finish at 12.00pm, where we will then head back to the Nature Playground for lunch. Families are welcome and encouraged to come and walk/ run laps with your child. The Kindy children will be running/ walking around a smaller circle of cones in the middle of the oval (so they don’t get lost). Each time the children do a lap, they will receive a stamp on their stamp card, which they can take home at the end of the day.
Please read more information about the Lapathon on the note below.
My name is Mrs Truscott and I feel extremely lucky to have been chosen to be part of your classroom.
A little bit about me…
I taught at Aubin Grove for 2 years before I left to start my family in 2014 and have been on maternity leave up until now. I am married to my wonderful husband Ben and we have two beautiful girls. My eldest daughter is Stella who is 3 years old and off to Kindy next year herself, and my youngest daughter is Millie who turned 1 in February.
Family and friends are very important to me and I love spending time with them on weekends. I enjoy going on holidays down south to Dunsborough and exploring all the wonderful beaches and special places down there. I also love all things sweet (particularly chocolate!) and reading and relaxing in the sunshine!
The amazing Mrs Dempster has left some rather big shoes for me to fill but I will do my absolute best to fill them! So please be patient as I get to know you and your children, and I look forward to spending the rest of the year together.
Love Mrs Truscott
