Transition Day

Hi Everyone,

A note went home on Friday about transition day in week 10. I’ve copied the details below just incase you misplace the information. If you decide not to bring your child please let me know!

1st December 2017

Dear Parents,

On Monday 11th of December, we will be holding our annual Transition Day. The purpose of this event, primarily, is for students to meet their new teacher and familiarise themselves with their new classroom and classmates. This session, held in the afternoon is an important event in the Aubin Grove calendar and highly valued by our students and community.

As this day is not a scheduled day for group B Kindy students we would like to invite them in for the afternoon to participate in the transition afternoon.

If you would like your child to attend this transition afternoon, please have your child at their normal Kindy classroom at 1:20pm and pick them up from their Kindy class 2:30pm.

Please let your classroom teacher know if your child will not be attending the transition afternoon.

Kind regards,

Melanie Osborne

Deputy Principal

A message from Frank

Hi Everyone! Below is a message from Frank that he has asked all teachers to pass on. Please have a read. See you all on Thursday!

If you are not returning to Aubin Grove next year, can I ask that you please let me, or the Front Office, know asap. Our school expects a drop in student enrolments for next year, owing to the establishment of Honeywood PS, so in order to plan for the number of teachers and classrooms required, it is essential that we have the most accurate information possible.

Thank you in anticipation.

Kind regards,

Frank Pansini

Cubby House Incursion

WOW! I was so impressed with our Cubby making skills this morning! The children demonstrated how they could work together to create a cubby. They used lots of communication skills to negotiate and solve problems. But best of all…they had fun doing it!

A wonderful morning showing children how you can create something amazing out of loose parts or ‘junk’. Who needs toys when you have old material and a few sticks lying around!

Perhaps a little project for over the sunny weekend to get those creative minds flowing? Just a thought 🙂

Book Week Dress Up

Hello Parents!

Here are the photos I took of the kiddies costumes today. As always, thank you for your effort. We managed a little parade with the Pre-primaries this morning and had a dance with Mr Pansini (aka Mr Sparkles as he called himself!) Not sure what book he was meant to be from though!

Anyway, despite the awful weather, we had a lovely last day of term.

Thank you again for all your support throughout the term. Enjoy the holidays, the kids certainly deserve a well earned break.

Hi everyone!

Thank you so much for your efforts today with the kids costumes, they all looked fabulous! Despite the chilly weather today we had a nice and relaxing end to the term. Have a happy and safe holiday and thanks again for all your support over the last few weeks.

Dress Up Day Parade

Hi Everyone!

On the morning of dress up day (Friday 30th), we would like to invite parents to stay for a quick dress up parade around the Nature Playground. This will only take a few minutes, so we ask that you do a quick drop off in the morning so you can make your way to the playground for a great viewing spot. We will be generally following the bike track around so anywhere along there will be fine. If you’re not able to stay I will take some photos anyway to put on the blog.

Please remember this is a dress up of  Nursery Rhymes only and not Superheroes or Disney Characters. Doesn’t need to be anything fancy!

Just another quick reminder for Mrs Johnston, Gumboot Day is on Wednesday the 28th. Further information is on the Communication Board.

Have a great weekend!

Dress Up Day

Just a reminder about our Dress Up Day in week 10 on Friday to end our Term. All the details are in the note below. There is also a copy of the note on our Communication Board in front of the classroom. Once again, please be mindful that this is not a fairytale, superhero or disney dress up. Thank you for your support!
