We had SO much fun today spending time with our dad’s and pop’s! A BIG thank you to all our special guests for taking the time to come to school and share the morning with us. These are some of the things we got up too: eating toast and drinking juice, shaving faces with shaving cream, building marshmallow towers, making lego construction, playing a ping pong game, making paper aeroplanes, painting aeroplane wings and pretending to be rockstars in our photo booth.
As a way in which to celebrate the end of our Science program in Term 2, we are having a Gum Boot day! This Wednesday, please send your child with a bag containing their gum boots, and a spare pair of pants and socks. Please make sure that items of clothes are clearly labelled as things can get a bit chaotic when we are changing into dry clothes if need be.
I look forward to seeing you all.
As part of our Term 2 unit on Nursery Rhymes, we are having a fun filled dress-up day. We would like to invite students to come to school dressed in their favourite Nursery Rhyme on Tuesday 27th June (Week 10).
If you are looking for costume ideas, here are a few suggestions:
- Jack & Jill
- Little Bo Peep
- Humpty Dumpty
- Incy Wincy Spider
- Ba Ba Black Sheep
- Twinkle Twinkle little star
- Miss Polly had a Dolly
- Hey Diddle Diddle
Or any other character from a Nursery Rhyme.
Please be mindful this is not a fairytale, superhero or disney theme.
Please send your child to school in their costume with appropriate footwear for outdoor play.
Thank you for your support.
Last week, we learnt about the nursery rhyme, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. We had lots of fun making our very own twinkle sprinkle little stars.
Just a few reminders:
- No school for students on Monday 5th June as it’s a public holiday.
- Please return library books tomorrow.
- On Tuesday 6th and Wednesday 7th June, I will be away and not at school. Mrs Rose will be doing my relief on Tuesday and her normal Wednesday program.
- Lapathon money is due to the office by 15th June.
- Unwanted Entertainment books can be returned to the office.
- Mrs Rose would like each child to bring in a glass jar from home. The jar needs to be no bigger than 10cm with the label removed. Please bring in the jar as soon as possible.
I have a request from Mrs Rose. She would like each child to bring in a reused glass jar from home for an upcoming science lesson. The glass jar needs to be no bigger than 10cm and please remove the label. If you can bring the glass jar to school within the next fortnight, that would be fantastic.
Just a reminder, we have our Lap-a-thon today, if the weather permits.
Please can each student:
- Wear school uniform
- Wear appropriate shoes for running
- Bring water bottle
- Bring a hat
Parents are most welcome to attend. We will be making our way to the oval at 11.05am. The Lap-a-thon will commence at 11.30am for approximately half an hour. The students will then return back to class for our normal lunch time.
Thank you for your support.
A note went home recently about Lap-a-thon, which will take place for Kindy A Group students on Tuesday 16th May (week 4). We will be heading out to the oval at 11.10am to do some stretches and get organised. The Lap-a-thon will begin at 11.30 and will finish at 12.00pm, where we will then head back to the Nature Playground for lunch. Families are welcome and encouraged to come and walk/ run laps with your child. The Kindy children will be running/ walking around a smaller circle of cones in the middle of the oval (so they don’t get lost). Each time the children do a lap, they will receive a stamp on their stamp card, which they can take home at the end of the day.
The children need to wear their school uniform as per normal.
Thank you SO much for coming to our Mother’s Day afternoon. We loved spending time with you and had lots of fun doing activities. Have a wonderful Mother’s Day this Sunday!
The students and I are very excited to see you at our Mother’s Day afternoon this week. Please come to our classroom on Tuesday at 1.15pm. We will be doing some fun activities together and then you will be able to take your child home at 2.30pm.
Looking forward to seeing you!
