Week 10 was a busy and fun filled week in our classroom. Throughout the week, we completed lots of fun Literacy and Numeracy activities based around Easter. We hope you enjoy looking at lots of our wonderful work which is now hanging in the classroom.
On Wednesday (the 5th of April), we went to a Constable Care show in the undercover area called Fun Scary. The characters Timmy and Regan were very funny and taught valuable “Protective Behaviours” in a fun and light-hearted way. Students learned the difference between a ‘good scary’ feeling and a ‘bad scary’ feeling and what is a good or bad secret to keep. The children also learned that they should tell the people on their helping hand if they think it is a bad secret. You may wish to discuss who your child has on their helping hand with them at home.
On Friday, the students were very excited when they arrived to school as they could see by the trail of footprints and half eaten carrots, that the Easter Bunny had visited our school. He left us a letter to apologise for the mess and promised to come for a visit during the day. When the Easter Bunny did come and visit, he provided another letter – which led us to an Easter hunt for ping pong balls out in the nature playground. Everyone had a great time searching for the balls and we found a tasty treat from the Easter Bunny when we returned to our classroom.
Thank you all for a wonderful term and I look forward to seeing everyone back on Wednesday the 27th of April for our first day of school and swimming lessons.
