Term 2, Week 10.

Welcome to our final week of Term 2.

It has been a very busy term with swimming, excursions, assessments for reports, pj dress up day and finally dance performers.

I will only be teaching Monday-Wednesday this week due to my daughter having to go to a specialist appointment on the Thursday. The class will have a relief teacher on the Thursday and Mrs J will be in on the Friday to finish off the term.

On Thursday we will be having some aboriginal dancers come into the school to perform for us. We have decorated some handprints that will be on display in recognition of NAIDOC day.

At the end of the week maths challenges will be sent home for you to look at and keep. Reports are due to be sent home on the last day of term. If you are away we will keep hold of the report and hand it to you next term.

On Thursday we will be having a news telling session as part of our listening and speaking program. Your child is welcome to bring in something small that they would like to show and discuss with a small group of children. Can you please make sure the item they select ins’t too valuable and clearly labelled. The news telling session will be at the end of the day and on Thursday only.

Next term for the first week only Mrs J will be teaching on the Monday. All students are due to return on Monday 17th July (No staff development day). I will return on the Tuesday and teach the remainder of the week. If you kept some of the items off the booklist at the beginning of the year can you please return the remainder of them as soon as possible. I have some children who have run out of lead pencils, glue and crayons and haven’t got any spares to replace them with.

There will be no homework sent home this week. Can you please send back home readers tomorrow. I will send home notes to those that haven’t been returned to remind you of the book titles. Please send these back as soon as you can so the trolley can be checked and sent to the next class.
