Enrolments for 2018

If you are not returning to Aubin Grove next year, can I ask that you please let me, or the Front Office, know asap (if you haven’t already). Our school expects a drop in student enrolments for next year, owing to the establishment of Honeywood PS, so in order to plan for the number of teachers and classrooms required, it is essential that we have the most accurate information possible.

Thank you.

Excursion tomorrow

Just a reminder that our class excursion is tomorrow (Friday 19th).

Students must:

  • Be at school by 8.30 as we are leaving at 8.35 to get on the busses.
  • Put lunch and recess in seperate plastic bags with their names on them. (They will not see their lunch until lunch time.)
  • Must wear purple shirts. Bring a hat and put sunscreen on before school would be wise as it is going to be hot.

It is going to be an awesome day!

Absentees need to be recorded

Hi everyone,

Some people haven’t been letting me know a reason that their child has been absent. Can you please send me an email or just tell me verbally a reason for the child being absent. This is now a whole school initiative to ensure that our attendance is accurately documented. Your co-operation on this is greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

Michael Crake

Excursion notes MUST be handed back

Just a reminder that the excursion money and notes MUST be back tomorrow, Tue 16th.

Volunteer for excursion WINNER

Congratulations to Natalie Angel! You were drawn out of the hat this morning to go on our school excursion this Friday. Thank you to all those people who put their names in. It was great to see so many people keen to get involved in our class activities. I’m sure there will be future events others can get involved in.

Year 3 Excursion Friday 20th October

Notes will be going home today or tomorrow with information regarding our class excursion. It is imperative that the money and permission slip are brought back by next Tuesday 17th. The actual excursion is happening next Friday 20th.

Our class needs a parent to come along and help out for the day. If you are keen to come along please email me (michael.crake@education.wa.edu.au) by this Friday 13th. I will then draw one name out of a hat and will let that parent know on the Monday 16th. If you need more information please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Big last week of term 3.

Wow! Hasn’t this term flown by?

Just a reminder that this Wednesday, between 5.30-7, is our school open night. This is a great opportunity to see everyones amazing work that they have been doing this year. It is a great evening that always attracts a huge crowd so I hope to see you all there.

We are also celebrating Book Week this week. We were lucky enough to have the author Meg McKinlay talk to us yesterday about her new book. On Friday is the Book Wk Parade, 9.00 in the 2 little girls courtyard, where we are showing off our costumes. Students generally stay in their costume for the entire day unless it is too big and uncomfortable to sit in.

Faction Carnival

What an amazing day it was last Friday! Well done to all those who competed throughout the day. There was a lot of cheering and good sportsmanship shown from everyone. Well  done to Josh Draper  who had a sensational day and got Yr 3 boys runner-up.

A big thanks to all those parents who showed up and watched all the action. It was great to see such a big crowd.

Book Week Parade

The Book Week parade is held on the Basketball courts on the last Friday of this term, 22nd Sept. Our class book this term has been ‘The Twits’ so we will be dressing up as characters from this book. However, students can make connections between The Twits characters and characters from another book. They can then dress up as any of those characters they made connection with. Therefore, it is pretty open ended. We discussed as a class who they would like to dress up as so they should all have a good idea. If you have any questions please let me know.

1-1 Macbook Program Information Night

Just a reminder that the 1-1 Macbook Program Information Night  is on next Thursday 7th September at 6pm at the school.
