What a year it has been!

Hi everyone.

Thank you so much for your kind gifts. It was very generous of you all and much appreciated. Wow, what an amazing year we have all had in Rm 23. It has been amazing to watch all of the students progress in a variety of ways. I have been very lucky to be a part of such an awesome group of students. I know all of them will be doing sensational things in the future. Thank you to all the parents for their support throughout the year. I hope everyone enjoys the festive season. Merry Christmas to all and a happy New Year!

End of concert pick up

Hi everyone,

It is going to be an awesome evening and I am looking forward to seeing you all there. At the end of the concert, each year level will be told to head back to their respective classes. This is where you can retrieve your child, at Rm 23. Please show patience during this time.

Huge day tomorrow

Just a reminder that it is both the class party and End Of Year Concert tomorrow (Tues 12th). For the party, Girls are on sweets and Guys on Savoury. They can also bring a board game to play throughout the day. The concert starts at 5.30 but students need to be at Rm 23 by 5.00pm dressed in black shorts and a coloured (one colour of the rainbow) shirt.  It is going to be an awesome night!

Old progress folders

Old progress folders (P-yr2, grey folders) have been sent home over the last couple of days. These are yours to keep so can stay at home. This years progress folders (white files) will be handed to their 2018 teacher next week.

Rm 23 upcoming events

This Year is rapidly coming to a close; however, we still have some massive events coming up for Room 23. Here is a run down;

  • Monday, 11th, (wk10) is our transition afternoon. This is where students find out their classes for next year and get to meet their new teacher.
  • Tuesday, 11th, (wk10)  we will be having our class party.
We have decided, this year, for girls to bring in a sweet plate and for boys to bring in a savoury plate of food (something reasonably nutritious, as it will be a long day with the concert that evening). On this day you will not need to provide lunch for your child (only recess as usual). As we do not have ready access to a fridge or oven, please do not bring anything that needs to be refrigerated (byo esky or cooler if it needs to be kept cold). Also, if you are bringing a hot food item please bring it to the class by 12pm.
  • Tuesday, 11th, End of Year Concert. Concert starts at 5.30. Students need to be in Rm 23 at 5.00, dressed and ready to rock.
  • Wednesday, 12th, reports go home.
  • Thursday, 13th, last day of school.

END OF YEAR CONCERT

Dear Parents/Caregivers,

The End of Year Concert is fast approaching and students have been singing and dancing up a storm so that they can put on a fantastic show. This year the concert will be held on 12thDecember and is themed I Feel Good. The concert will commence at 5.30pm and students should be in their classrooms by 5pm. All Year 3 students will be performing“Firework” by Katy Perry.

To make the performance extra special we would like the students to dress in black shorts with a shirt that is one of the colours of the rainbow – red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo or violet.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me or your child’s teacher.

Thank you

Enrolments for 2018

If you are not returning to Aubin Grove next year, can I ask that you please let me, or the Front Office, know asap (if you haven’t already). Our school expects a drop in student enrolments for next year, owing to the establishment of Honeywood PS, so in order to plan for the number of teachers and classrooms required, it is essential that we have the most accurate information possible.

Thank you.

Excursion tomorrow

Just a reminder that our class excursion is tomorrow (Friday 19th).

Students must:

  • Be at school by 8.30 as we are leaving at 8.35 to get on the busses.
  • Put lunch and recess in seperate plastic bags with their names on them. (They will not see their lunch until lunch time.)
  • Must wear purple shirts. Bring a hat and put sunscreen on before school would be wise as it is going to be hot.

It is going to be an awesome day!

Absentees need to be recorded

Hi everyone,

Some people haven’t been letting me know a reason that their child has been absent. Can you please send me an email or just tell me verbally a reason for the child being absent. This is now a whole school initiative to ensure that our attendance is accurately documented. Your co-operation on this is greatly appreciated.

Kind regards
