Homework

I have had some parents say that the Homework link isn’t working.  I have reloaded the Homework grid and hopefully it works now.  If you click on the link it should open a Word document of the grid.

Times Table Practise

At the beginning of this term I gave the students a times table test.  Some students slipped backwards on the ladder charting their progress.  I think this may be as they are cramming to pass their table test and, once they pass, they forget them.  For this reason I would like to ask that when practising times tables at home please focus on the one they are currently learning but also revise the ones they have previously learned.  This way the tables will move from their short term memory (cramming) to their long term memory (learning).  Thank you.

Weeks 8 & 99

Week 4 and 5 Homework Grid

Here is the first Homework Grid for the year (click the link below to open). Students should all have it glued into their Homework Books. They will also receive a sheet of spelling words. Please refer to the Spelling sheet in their Homework book for their nightly spelling practise.

Weeks 4 and 5

Homework Starts Week 4

Homework will start in Week 4.  Students will be handed a Homework grid with 6 parts to complete over a fortnight and a sheet of spelling words with instructions on what their daily spelling practise will be.  Students have already been given a Times Tables book to learn these and a Reading Log to record their daily reading.  Reading books for Year 3 come from the Library and will be changed every Thursday.  Occasionally their will be Homework that requires computer access using Mathletics of Studyladder.
