Term 4 Week 10

Hi Everyone,

Just a reminder that tomorrow (Tuesday) is our class party. All food must arrive to the class by 12:00, eating time.  The afternoon will be filled with party games. There will be a lot of food so I really don’t think you will need to pack a lunch for your child.  If your child is a fussy eater and you know they won’t touch much of the party food then please pack them a lunch. Full school uniform is required.

Concert – Tomorrow (Tuesday) is the concert. Please have your child arrive to me at 5:00pm.

Thursday – Last day. Your child can bring in a game or two to play.  No electronics please.

Can you pack a spare bag for your child, as their books and spare stationery will be sent home on Wednesday.

I want to take this opportunity to thank Emily for being a wonderful class rep. I would also like to thank you all for having the most wonderful children. I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching Room 26 this year, it’s gone so quickly because everyday has been full of laughs and fun. Oh I forgot to mention all the wonderful learning hehehe.

This will be the last blog post from me.

Have a wonderful Summer holiday and don’t be strangers.

Over and out from the teacher of the best class of 2017.

Karen 🙂

Term 4 Week 9

This term is certainly flying by! Please find the week ahead.

In English, we are continuing with our theme of Chocolate.  We will be writing a dictionary of chocolate words. Looking at the chocolate we eat and designing a brand new chocolate product. We will create the perfect packaging using persuasive and descriptive vocabulary. In Guided Reading we will be looking at prediction, fluency, summarising and evaluating.

In Mathematics, we will be gathering data and making graphs. This week is the last week for the Mental Maths Challenge.  The person who has made the most progress will receive a big prize.

Our Class Party is next Tuesday.  I will put a list on my board outside my classroom for you to write what food you are bringing. Girls – Bring in Sweet and Boys – Savoury please.  We have no facilities to heat up food but you are very welcome to bring the food in just before 12:00 (eating time). Can I also remind you, we have allergies in the class, so no food with nuts or raw egg.  The list will be up tomorrow afternoon.

Have a wonderful week and don’t forget the costume for the concert.

Karen 🙂

End of Year Concert

Dear Parents/Caregivers,

The End of Year Concert is fast approaching and students have been singing and dancing up a storm so that they can put on a fantastic show. This year the concert will be held on 12th December and is themed I Feel Good. The concert will commence at 5.30pm and students should be in their classrooms by 5pm. All Year 3 students will be performing “Firework” by Katy Perry.

To make the performance extra special we would like the students to dress in black shorts with a shirt that is one of the colours of the rainbow – red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo or violet.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me or your child’s teacher.

Thank you

Tarah Souter-Robertson

Hi Everyone,

This is a reminder to all the parents who have not paid for their child’s swimming lesson.  Money and forms are due tomorrow.  If you do not hand the forms in your child will not be able to swim.

Thank you.
