During week 9, we were lucky enough to be visited by Mrs Smith, one of our lovely deputies here at Aubin Grove Primary School. Having recently visited Rawanda and South Africa over the Christmas holidays, Mrs Smith was able to provide a wonderful insight in to how these countries differ from Australia. Illustrating both the geographical and anthropological differences, the students were able to make comparisons with how we live here in Australia.
From a curriculum perspective, the visit coincided perfectly with our studies in Geography; allowing the students to explore the characteristics of Africa as a continent, as well as the relative location of both Rawanda and South Africa to other major countries.
Below are some photos from afternoon.
