Book Week

Aubin Grove Primary School celebrates Book Week on the last day of Term 3, Friday 22nd September. This year the theme is ‘Escape to Everywhere.’

The Year 5 cohort has decided to run a ‘book cafe’ where students will be asked to bring to school a book review of their favourite book.

Students will dress up as their favourite character from the book that that they have selected to review, which will be a title they have selected. Our book cafe will be on Thursday 21st September, between recess and lunch, with the book week dress up on Friday the 22nd of September.

To make this task easier to manage it will be included as part of the homework grid leading up to Week 10 where they will be given the template and information to include about their chosen book.

Sports Day Dress Up – Tomorrow.

Tomorrow, Friday the 25th of August, Aubin Grove Primary School will be fundraising for the P&C and Big Week Out. Students are encouraged to come to school in their favourite team’s jersey. The jersey can be from any sport.

Please bring a gold coin donation to class.

Scitech Excursion – Wednesday the 23rd of August.

Hi everyone,

Just a quick reminder that on this coming Wednesday, the 23rd of August, all of the Year 5 students will have the opportunity to attend a school excursion to Sci Tech. They will get to experience Horizon the Planetarium Live, view the Science Show – Things that Glow and spend time in the interactive general exhibit area.

Thank you for everyone who volunteered to attend the excursion. The response was overwhelming. If you have any questions about this day please let me know.

Kind regards,

Peter

Swimming Lessons & Canteen

Swimming starts next week! Our lesson time is 11:40am to 1:25pm. The Snack Shack has asked me to let everyone’s parents know that it will not be practical to order from the canteen during this next fortnight. The reason for this is that, due to our lesson time, Room 35 will be eating lunch at recess time so that means any lunch orders placed in the morning cannot be filled in time for collection at recess. Thank you for your understanding.

Home Learning Term 3 Week 1 & 2

Welcome back to school everyone,

This term is set to be very productive! To get it started a Home Learning Grid will come home with your child this afternoon. If you have any questions about the tasks that have been set for this fortnight please let me know.

Kind regards,

Mr Griffiths
