Homework

Hello families,

Next week when homework is distributed, I will be handing out a phases of the moon observation sheet to compliment our studies in Science this term (Sun, Moon and Earth).

This is to track the changes in the moon over the course of 30 consecutive days. It is not compulsory but I wanted to give you a heads up before it comes home.

Thanks.

P.S. Homework is due in tomorrow.

2018

Good evening,

If you are not returning to Aubin Grove next year, can I ask that you please let me, or the Front Office, know asap. Our school expects a drop in student enrolments for next year, owing to the establishment of Honeywood PS, so in order to plan for the number of teachers and classrooms required, it is essential that we have the most accurate information possible.

Thank you in anticipation.

Attendance

Hello families,

We have an amazing attendance record at AGPS. However, if your child is off school for any reason, please send me a quick email or call the office to advise of their absence. This is now a whole school initiative to ensure that our attendance is accurately documented.

Your co-operation on this is greatly appreciated.

1:1 Mac Books and Homework

Dear families,

As you are aware, Year 4 students will be involved in the 1:1 Mac book Program next year. It is now Term Four so we are inviting you to place your order through the portal or to purchase a computer privately.

Children will be coming home with a hard copy of the information today. Please let me know whether you plan to buy a Mac book through the portal, privately or not at all during the course of this term via email.

Example: John Smith, Portal.

Thanks for your assistance!

P.S. Homework has been handed out today an is due back in a fortnight.

Cheers

Excursion

Hello families,
This Friday the 20th of October, Year 3 students are invited to attend an excursion to consolidate and expand on their learning in HASS and Mathematics. If you would like your child to attend, could you please return the money and the permission slips by tomorrow the 17th of October. We are very sorry about how quick you have been asked to get this sorted but hope that you can see the benefit in what we are doing.

Reminders for the day;

  • Students must arrive to school by 8:30 as the buses will be leaving at 8:45.
  • Pack a separate recess and lunch and place them in clearly labelled zip lock or disposable bags.
  • Ensure your child has a water bottle and a school hat with their name on.
  • Please put a layer of sunscreen on your child in the morning (we will bring some so that they can reapply during the day).
  • Finally, make sure your child is wearing their purple school shirt and not their faction shirt.

Thanks for your support as always.

Have a great afternoon,

David Alessandrini

RU Ok?

Hey guys,

This Friday AGPS will be acknowledging Mental Health Week. We will have artists, skaters, athletes and dancers attending the school to share their talents with the students. To make this day even more memorable, we would love students to come dressed in something yellow.

P.S. Year 4 Booklists were sent home today.

Thanks

Hello families,

As of next week, please could you refrain from entering the classroom in the morning. We will be preparing the classroom for open night and we would like you all to be surprised.  If you need to see me of course pop in and try not to look around :).  Thank you for your cooperation.

Also, we have our Japanese Incursion on Thursday – Please remember to pay and send in permission slip.

Finally, this Friday students will be able to collect a milo if they walk, ride or scoot to school to celebrate Fume Free Friday.

Have a great night!
