On 23rd June 2017 we are going to celebrate the Winter Solstice by wearing our pyjamas to school. However, this is by no means compulsory. If you do not want to participate then that’s totally acceptable. If you do decide to participate then please could you discuss with your class the following reminders:
- Students must wear school shoes.
- Students hair must be tied up if shoulder length or longer.
- Students must be able to put their hat on at recess and lunch.
- The clothing must cover shoulders and be no shorter in length than the school uniform.
Obviously the option to bring in blankets and teddies is a classroom decision but we would advise not to bring in anything too big and cumbersome.
Finally, we will be observing an hour without power. So at some time during the day, we will turn all power off. We do not want to compromise students learning, so this will take place during reading and spelling during the morning session.
