We had such a great trip to Peninsula House on Tuesday. A great location, perfect weather and very well behaved students. Thank you parents who joined us, you were all so helpful.
Firstly we discussed the Hardy family who settled the area and built the house and farm 178 years ago!
Then we split into groups, one group looking at old fashioned artifacts, one having a tour of the house and one group making peg dolls.
After lunch, we played lots of games from the olden days, including skipping, hopscotch, spinning wheels, quoits, horseshoes and egg and spoon races!
Students then drew the Hardy family and their own family to compare them.
We said thank you, got back on the bus and made it back by 2.30pm. Success!
