Positive Education is a whole school approach to supporting the health and wellbeing of our students, staff, and school community. At Aubin Grove Primary School, we implement Geelong Grammar’s research-based explicit Positive Education curriculum (PEEC) that has been developmentally sequenced from Early Learning (age four) through to Year 6. PEEC was designed in consultation with world-renowned researchers in the field of positive psychology.
Our explicit use of PEEC supports the implicit Positive Education that occurs every day through the interactions that teachers have with their students. Students are taught the key concepts of wellbeing so they can live healthy and fulfilling lives.
Aubin Grove Primary School utilises Be You resources to support the mental health and wellbeing of our school community. Be You is the national mental health and wellbeing initiative for learning communities in Australia. It is delivered by Beyond Blue in collaboration with headspace and Childhood Australia.
