All classes from Pre-Primary to Year 6 attend weekly one hour music lessons with Mrs Bisdee and Mrs Johnstone. These lessons include singing, moving, playing a range of instruments, composing, improvising, listening, responding and integrating a range of music technology using iPads.

Other musical opportunities include Junior Choir (Years 3 and 4) and Senior Choir (Years 5 and 6), performing at events including ANZAC Day, the WA Massed Choir Festival, One Big Voice Festival and the Cockburn Music Festival. Students are selected from Year 5 & 6 to participate in the Holyoake DRUMBEAT Program and the Department of Education’s Instrumental Music School Services Program (Brass, Clarinet, Flute & Classical Guitar). Year 6 IMSS students have the option of joining the Atwell Area Band which rehearses weekly after school at Atwell College. The band performs annually and goes on tour in Term 4 to local primary schools.

All students from Kindy to Year 6 are involved in an End of Year Concert as well as whole school Community Dance events throughout the year including Harmony Day and NAIDOC Week, supporting our Positive Education and HASS curriculum.
