Message from the Principal – Mesha Steel

Term Four in any school is such a fast paced and exciting time for all of it’s community members and Aubin Grove Primary School is certainly no exception to this statement. Currently now in Week Seven, we can reflect back on what we have achieved over the past weeks, in addition to what we have to look forward to as the term draws to a close.

Feedback

As you are aware, Visible Learning is an Aubin Grove school priority which focuses on a number of areas. One of these areas is feedback. Research tells us that feedback has a 0.7 effect size which means that it is very effective at improving student outcomes and significantly impacting on student progress.

Sewing Morning

Each student will be decorating a calico square displaying the theme of positive mental health as a part of R U OK Day at Aubin Grove Primary School.

Colour Run Fundraising

We will be holding the School Fun-Run as a major fundraising event this year on 19th October 2018.

Messages from Mr Pansini

Last Saturday, we held our annual Nature Playground Busy Bee to celebrate the first day of spring and the reopening of our Tiny Town cubby zone.

Sonshine FM Free Coffee Friday

Did somebody say free coffee? On Friday the 7th of  September, Aubin Grove Primary School will be hosting 98.5 Sonshine FM’s Free Coffee Friday.

Messages from Mr Pansini

Welcome to Term 3. I hope you all had the chance to enjoy spending some time with your children over the holidays and took the opportunity to rest and have some fun as a family. I also hope that you had the chance to look over your child's report with them and talk with them about  the progress they have made in the first semester of the year.

Full STEAM ahead with Duncan Moon

STEAM education is the learning of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics in an integrated approach. Aubin Grove Primary School is embracing this way of learning and will begin Term 3 with a visit from Duncan Moon.

Luke Kennedy’s Visit

Motivational speaker and mental health advocate, Luke S Kennedy came and spoke with our Year 4-6 students. Aubin Grove prides itself in improving student wellbeing, reducing mental health difficulties and increasing support for students and their families experiencing mental health difficulties.
