Week 3

Next week is sure to be busy for students at Aubin Grove Primary School.

A team of students from Years 3 to 6 will compete in the Interschool Athletics Carnival on Tuesday October 24 and Thursday October 26 at Santich Park, Munster.

Also to be held next week is the Junior School Faction Athletics Carnival, which students from Kindy to Year 2 will compete in on Wednesday October 25.

This year the carnival will be split into two sections, with the Kindy/Pre-Primary carnival to be held from 9am-10.45am, followed by the Year 1/2 carnival from 11.30am-2.50pm.

A reminder that next Friday, October 27 is a Student Development Day and students do not attend.

Cyber Safety

Paul Litherland from Surf Online Safe will hold a free Cyber Safety parent information session at Aubin Grove on Wednesday, October 25.

Paul is a former police officer who worked specifically in the field of technology crime.

After the success of his 2016 parent information session, the school is offering a second opportunity for parents and carers to hear him explain the risks associated with the networks and systems that children are using online.

During his entertaining session, Paul offers useful tips and hints to help maintain children’s online safety.

The session will be held in the undercover area from 6.30pm, and coffee and tea will be provided by the P&C.

2018 Student Booklists

Students should have by now bought home their booklists for 2018.

For parents wishing to pre-order their items and have them delivered to the school, order lists must be returned to the front office by Monday October 23, or placed online through Ziggies Educational Supplies by Thursday October 27.

The pre-ordered items will then be available for pick-up in the undercover area on Thursday November 30.

Options for home delivery are also available.

R U OK? Day

In a show of support for Mental Health week, Aubin Grove changed from purple to a sea of yellow for RUOK? Day last Friday.
