Junior sports carnival
A big thank you to the many family members who came to school last Wednesday to support students competing in the Junior Faction Athletics Carnival. It was a gala day and everyone enjoyed seeing the looks of delight and laughter on the faces of the kids. We particularly enjoyed seeing the joy on the parents’ faces as they cuddled their kids and took precious photos at the end of each race.
While the Kindy and Pre-Primary students were able to complete their carnival, unfortunately persistent rain resulted in the cancellation of the Year 1-2 events.
Thank you to all the students for their weeks of preparation in training for the carnival, and also for their excellent behaviour following the cancellation of the event.
Thank you also to Mr Fritchley for the countless hours he spent organising the carnival and also preparing students.
We have looked at possible alternative dates to reschedule the Year 1-2 component of the carnival, which will now be held this Friday, November 3.
Cockburn Choral Festival
The Senior Choir will participate in the Cockburn Choral Festival at Atwell Primary School this Thursday, November 2.
This will mark the second annual festival to be held on the national Music: Count Us In day, which celebrates music in Australian schools.
As well as singing the 2017 program song “Shine Together” with a number of local primary schools, they will join more than 500,000 students around Australia singing the same song on the same day at the exact same time.
Kindy Information Evening
The information evening for parents with children entering Kindy at Aubin Grove in 2018 will be held in the undercover area tonight, November 1 from 7pm.
