Tiny Town looks a treat in Naturescape playground

A very big thank you to all of the parents who so generously donated their time to come and do some handiwork at the school recently.

A number of parents spent their Saturday afternoon painting the four wooden cubbies installed in the Naturescape playground.

The cubbies, which will be used by Kindy and Pre-Primary students, have been transformed into a café/shop/house, a fire station/hospital, a police station and a fix-it shop.

The designs and colour schemes of the ‘Tiny Town’ of cubbies were determined by a group of Year 6 students.

The students were studying goods and services in society as part of their economics curriculum, and were set the challenge by the Early Childhood committee of deciding which shops would be needed in a town.

The cubbies are being well utilised by very excited children, and are sure to provide hours of entertainment within the Naturescape playground for many years to come.

Thank you again to everyone who came to help with the painting- many hands make light work.
